AUTHOR!

The production is being produced in five-minute
chapters (primarily with downloads to mobile
in mind), which make up three sixty minute episodes,
written by Ben Aaronovitch, Marc Platt and James
Swallow.
On the face of it the chapters
may be short, but it’s an epic story overall
– the five minute duration being something
of a red herring in terms of the scope and breadth
of the new adventures and in fact serves to
up the ante in terms of dramatic pacing.

Marc and James are taking time out in the green room.
Marc is the author of celebrated Doctor Who audio Spare
Parts amongst many other works and James has the honour
of being the only British writer to contribute storylines
to TV legend Star Trek. They’re eager for their
episodes to be recorded and fascinated by the difference
between the new and the old.
Marc is quiet but attentive, checking and re-checking
his scripts whilst James is in his element –
holding forth on fans, writing and science fiction
in general. They’re both extremely positive
about the production and a trifle bemused by some
of the more extreme fan reaction they’ve come
across, though they’ve both been involved in
sci-fi long enough to know it’s par for the
course. The overriding feeling though is one of excitement
– after so long in development, their new version
of Blake’s 7 is nearly ready to be revealed
to the world.
