Paul Kimball is an accomplished writer, producer and director with numerous television and feature credits to his name. He holds an honours degree from Acadia University, and a law degree from Dalhousie University.
From 1992 until 1997, Paul was a musician, songwriter and producer during the heyday of the Halifax indie music scene. In late 1997 he moved into the film and television industry, working as the Program Administrator at the Nova Scotia Film Development Corporation and then a consultant for several provincial governments.
In 1999 he founded the Halifax-based production company Redstar Films and has since had work commissioned by a wide variety of networks and distributors (both in Canada and internationally), including CBC, Space, TVNZ, Vision TV, Bravo, Content Films and B7 Media.
Notable productions include the documentaries include Stanton T. Friedman Is Real, Best Evidence: Top 10 UFO Sightings and Denise Djokic: Seven Days Seven Nights, the television series The Classical Now and Ghost Cases, and most recently the feature films The Cuckoo in the Clock and Roundabout, both of which were released in 2014.
