Stephen Gibson

After seeing All The Presidents Men made a false start as a journalist on such titles as The Spectator and West Africa, a news weekly. When he realised he couldn’t bring down a government every day – or ever – moved to factual broadcast, to date mainly in television. Since has written and directed for the BBC, CNN, RT1 in Germany, NPO in The Netherlands, Al Jazeera Europe and the Food Network. Everything from Top Gear (only decent cars he’s ever driven) to Masterchef (learning that one needs a bit more than a love of food to be a real chef).

Recent credits include 2014’s Landing on A Comet, a series of live broadcasts following the European Space Agency’s successful Rosetta mission to a comet deep in the Galaxy. Broadcast by over 80 channels around the world, it brought space exploration to a vast audience, and helped knock Kim Kardashian off the no. 1 tweet spot.
