THANDI LUBIMBI is a practising barrister, who prosecutes regulatory crime on behalf of a local authority. After a stint as a gunner in the Royal Artillery, she qualified as a barrister and obtained a masters in environmental and employment law. Alongside this, she started writing drama, fantasy and sci-fi scripts. Her feature script THE JOURNEY was selected for the finals of the Screenplay Festival. In 2015 she was chosen as a finalist for Meet The Experts, a competition held at the London Screenwriter’s Festival, where she met and partnered with writer Richard Kurti on a legal drama about the broken criminal justice system, which is currently being produced by B7 Media for BBC Radio 4 as a one hour drama. In 2019, Thandi was part of a writers room with Stephen Garrett of Character 7 and Neon Unicorn Productions. She is currently writing for B7 Media an episode of a new psychological thriller.
