Patrick Chapman is a writer, editor, development producer (for B7 Media) and publisher who lives in Dublin, Ireland.

For B7 Media, his scriptwriting work has included Dan Dare, The Space Race and Pilgrim. He co-produced  The Martian Chronicles for BBC Radio 4; and was development producer on The Boy from Aleppo Who Painted the War and I, Robot. He is a contributing editor on the comic book mini-series Pilgrim: Secrets and Lies from B7 Comics.

Other scriptwriting credits includes Doctor Who: Fear of the Daleks (Big Finish); animated television series Garth & Bev, Wildernuts, Sydney Sailboat, The Wild Adventures of Blinky Bill; and Burning the Bed, an award-winning short film featuring Gina McKee and Aidan Gillen.

Chapman has published sixteen books since 1991, most recently David Cronenberg On Screen (SonicBond, 2021); The Following Year (Salmon Poetry, 2024), a finalist in Ireland’s National Poetry Award; and a monograph on Robert Forster‘s album Danger in the Past (Bloomsbury, 33 1/3, 2025).
