Andrew Mark Sewell is a radio drama producer/director (Best Drama & Fiction Producer at the Audio Production Awards 2022), publisher and indie filmmaker. Co-founder of UK indie B7 Media, publisher B7 Comics and audio drama platform Audioteria.com.

Sewell’s film credits include Mrs. Palfrey at the Claremont featuring Dame Joan Plowright and Rupert Friend, and a four-film collaboration with Canadian director Paul Andrew Kimball; The Cuckoo in the Clock, Roundabout, Exit Thread and The Colour of Spring. He is currently in pre-production of crime horror film Kill Everything with Ed Polgardy, who produced the hit US horror film The Wretched, along with working with the pioneering indie director Allison Anders (Gas Food Lodging and Grace of My Heart) on her next feature Paul is Dead.

Sewell is best known for the audio drama re-imagining of comic-strip space hero Dan Dare (also returning in a new trilogy of graphic novels) and cult BBC television series Blake’s 7. Other notable dramas for BBC Radio 4 include Ray Bradbury’s The Martian Chronicles, Isaac Asimov’s I, Robot, and most recently the much praised series, Mahabharata Now – the retelling of the poem ‘Mahabharata’ set in modern Mumbai. More recently he directed Theatre of the Damned featuring Amir El-Masry, inspired by the true story of the legendary theatre in Paris, The Grand Guignol; and Harry’s Home, a powerful and emotional drama about Alzheimer’s, family, and the time we have left, featuring Phil Davis as Harry Castle.

Other notable credits include UKTV’s Ghostwatch LIVE (credited as the first live paranormal investigation on television); Echoes of the Past, Tomorrow’s World+; and Sonnet 155 at the Almeida Theatre featuring Richard Briers (his last stage performance), Benedict Cumberbatch, Hattie Morahan, Paul McGann and Lisa Dillon.
