MRS MESSIAH
- Writer(s): Writer(s): Bev Doyle
“Things are tough enough for Maureen Kavanagh as it is… the last thing she wants is a miracle!”
Mrs Messiah is a whimsical satire on cults, charting the telling and comic repercussions that confront the Kavanagh family when the role of the second Messiah is thrust upon their unwitting mother.
At the start of the new millennium, a world that had recently braced itself for a digital apocalypse has barely time to breathe a sigh of relief before it witnesses a Second Coming…that it definitely didn’t see coming!
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Bev Doyle was born in Bedford although he was whisked away so early, he might as well have been born in Bedford-Stuyvesant for all he knows about it. A chronic slow developer he didn’t learn his first name until he was seven, so he stuck with the one he knew. He narrowly avoided a successful career as a singer songwriter by turning down several record companies for reasons that he might one day understand. Reputedly descended from a long line of sloths he is often accused of being so laid back a sudden sneeze could lay him flat on his back. It is unsurprising then that it has taken more than thirty years of scriptwriting for television, Hollywood studios and award-winning radio, that he has finally managed a novel. The rest as they say is hysteria. Bev lives in a village outside Rotherham with his wife Diane and their dog Riley.
