Lead Cast for ‘Exit Thread’ Announced

12th June 2015 / 2244

The lead cast for the thriller Exit Thread, currently filming in Nova Scotia, Canada, has been revealed.

Says Director/Co-writer Paul Kimball:

“I’ve worked with some very talented people in my career, but this is the strongest cast I’ve ever had. The people portrayed in Exit Thread are very much in the tradition of the great noir films of the 1940s, and in Crystal Allen, Anthony Shuster, Hilary Connell, and Robert Slade I’ve got four actors whom I have no doubt will be able to connect with and fully explore the myriad facets and hidden corners of these very flawed and all too human characters.”

Crystal AllenCRYSTAL ALLEN plays Laura Carlisle

A native Californian who was raised in Camrose, Alberta, Crystal Allen has appeared in a wide range of film and television productions. Her feature film credits include starring roles in two sequels to the film Anaconda, as well as Crooked Arrows with Brandon Routh and Ghost Storm with Carlos Bernard. On television, she has appeared in the hit programs Haven, Prison Break, Desperate Housewives, Boston Legal, Star Trek: Enterprise, Modern Men, Sex and the City, The Sopranos, JAG and Ed. She was also featured in the Hallmark movie Falling in Love with the Girl Next Door. Prior to making her mark on screen, Allen studied dance for many years in New York, which led her to an international modeling career in Greece, London, Germany, and South Africa, before she returned to New York to study acting at the renowned Lee Strasberg Institute.

Anthony ShusterANTHONY SHUSTER plays Thomas Decker

Anthony Shuster trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. His film and television work includes the television movies Blackout, A Short Stay in Switzerland, Our World War, and Cyberbully, as well as appearances in series such as Love & Marriage, Casualty and Holby City, and The Brief. He has been a member of both the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre, and his credits The Ballad of Crazy Paola, Richard II, Fair, Jason and the Argonauts, and the international smash hit War Horse.

Hilary ConnellcHILARY CONNELL plays Abigail Scott

Hilary Connell studied drama at the University of Toronto and appeared in So High, The Fantastic Megan Fox and Love Onlin. She has has just completed filming a leading role in Serial Thriller, a 120-minute crime drama based on a true story, airing summer 2015.

Robert G SladeROBERT G. SLADE plays Rev. Ezekiel Hartt

Robert G. Slade has been a professional actor his entire adult life; on stage, radio, video games, audio books, voice overs, television and film. Past film credits include: For the Moment, James Clifton in Dying of the Light, Hyde Park on the Hudson, Red Lights and Casino Royale; and a cherished guest role on The Fred Penner Show (many years ago); over 200 performances for CBC Radio; and nearly 40 years on the stage. He says, however, that his greatest joy comes from his children, Morgan and Robyn.
